UWEC Choir [AND] New apparel
You read it right; after years of UWEC logos and choral uniforms, the UWEC choral departments has rebranded their style to suit a more contemporary scene in the music world. Because of this switch, all students who participate in a choral ensemble at UWEC must check the choral merchandise website for any new uniforms that they will be required for the 2019-20 season and subsequent years.
TAKE NOTE: THE UWEC CHORAL AMBIENT INKS STORE WILL CLOSE SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2019 AND WILL NOT REOPEN.

Are you a new member to UWEC choir?
Welcome to UWEC Choir, we are so happy to have you join us for our 2018-19 season! Before becoming a full-fledged member of the Blugold Choral Family, there are a couple of necessary steps that you must take. A big part of UWEC Choir is the presentation of our craft in an elegant and professional manner. For many, this means we wear uniforms that reflect the idea of choral excellence that we strive for in our music everyday.
Each ensemble on campus has a different style of uniform that represents their sound the best. As seen above, many of the ensembles are updating their casual concert-wear, which means that you should only have to make this purchase once in your time at UWEC. In addition to this casual-wear, each member of specific ensembles must purchase the professional concert attire that is required. Tenors and basses in Concert Choir and The Singing Statesmen- this means that you are required to purchase a tuxedo. All tenors and basses in those ensemble must participate in fittings that day or you will be required to drive to a personal fitting at your own expense. For sopranos and altos in Concert Choir, Women's Concert Chorale, and Women's Chorus- this means that you will purchase a dress. Dress fittings will happen by office-hour appointment only, and must be scheduled with Sam Clemmons within the first two weeks of classes. Prices for these uniforms does vary, however, tenors and basses should expect to spend somewhere between $300-$380 for a new tuxedo and sopranos and altos should expect to spend around $40.
If you have any questions in regards to UWEC professional uniforms, please email Dr. Frank A. Watkins or Sam Clemmons.
